New Treatment for Liver Cancer

Salinas Valley Health is now offering a new minimally-invasive liver cancer treatment known as Y90 radioembolization. It involves injecting tiny, radioactive particles in to the liver which then kill the cancer tumors on contact.

The patient can have the procedure done in the morning and can be home in the afternoon. In this video, we witness interventional radiologist Juan Rodriguez, MD, and an interventional radiology team performing the Y90 procedure.

Fresh Air and Fresh Insight

Join Salinas Valley Health gastroenterologist Vikram Patel, MD, for our next Walk With a Doc. Following a brief presentation on liver health, Dr. Patel will lead the group in a two-mile walk over flat ground. Walk With a Doc takes place on Saturday, August 2, from 9:00am-10:00am, at the Badger Hills Trailhead of Fort Ord National Monument (across from Toro Café on Highway 68).
