Ask the Experts: Heart Month 2025
Each year, American Heart Month raises awareness about prevention of heart disease. In honor of this observance, Salinas Valley Health is hosting a free community forum focused on new advancements in minimally invasive cardiac care. The event features four Salinas Valley Health board-certified physicians and will be held at Ryan Ranch in Monterey at 5:00pm on Wednesday, February 26.

As a cardiologist who believes in a holistic approach to care, Kanae Mukai, MD, takes time to understand each patient and identify ways to improve their physical and emotional quality of life. Dr. Mukai is also a principal investigator for clinical research and clinical trials at Salinas Valley Health.
